Where can I purchase Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee beans?

I would like to purchase 3 wooden cartons (15 kg each) of jamaica blue mountain coffee beans. Where can I find it?

try this…

This is a dating question for the over 50’s and over 60’s…?

Now I am wondering if my attitude towards dating is because of my culture or my age.
As a Jamaican woman in Jamaica men (the ones I have dated) would feel insulted if a woman even mentioned paying some $ on a date.
I dated before I was married there been married and now as a widow I try this American dating thing now and then.
Maybe its the modern times, but some females feel obligated to the man if he pays.
To me that is ridiculous. I am not obligated to even kiss my date until I feel its right. Paying for the food movies or whatever lets me know he is not a cheapskate also.

I tell any new date "I don’t do coffee, so someone can check me out before going on a proper date". Its a waste of my time…We talk first, see if we have anything in common and then do something we both enjoy, so even if we don’t see each other again we have enjoyed the movies, lunch or whatever
Do you guys OVER 50’s ONLY really feel you should get a kiss or more if you have paid for 2 or 3 dates????
One does not even now if we want a real long term
relationship then..and we definitely do not know enough to jump in bed with the other.

Call me old fashioned,,,or maybe its the culture…but that fast quick easy bedding is not dating …there is another name for that!

I wonder where does ‘he think he owns me’ come from …just paying for a date!
No I never offer to pay for half
Reason no1..I don’t order lobster so he should be able to pay for an inexpensive or maybe he should not be dating me!
I’ll share with a permanent romantic companion and even treat them but NEVER on a date.
Maybe because I have always dated professionals or working men???? Now as retirees by on a fixed income an inexpensive date should be affordable.

AND I don’t feel he is paying for my company..its allowing my date to be a gentleman!

WELL…. LET’S SEE NOW….

CALL ME ‘OLD-FASHIONED’ BUT…. I’D BE A BIT
OFFENDED IF A LADY PAID FOR ANYTHING WHILE
ON A DATE WITH ME. HEY…. GUESS WHAT…. I EVEN
OPEN AND HOLD THE DOOR. HOW’S THAT FOR
‘OLD-FASHIONED’ ??

Why is Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee so much more expensive than other Caribbean coffees?

In the US, Blue Mountain Coffee costs $30-$50/lb. What makes it so expensive?

Import/export fees and because it’s the best coffee ever. This coffee has developed a reputation that has made it one of the most expensive and sought-after coffees in the world.
Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is a globally protected certification mark meaning that only coffee certified by the Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica can be labeled as such.
It comes from a recognised growing region in the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica where are some of the highest mountains in the Caribbean. The climate of the region is cool and misty with high rainfall. The soil is rich with excellent drainage. This combination of climate and soil is considered ideal for coffee. Traditionally, only coffee grown at elevations between 3,000 and 5,500 feet (1,700 m) could be called Jamaica Blue Mountain.

BTW,I went to Jamaica and paid only $16. for a 2-lb bag. Jablum brand is the most expensive and the best.

Do you think that Internet betting is ruining the social side of placing a bet?

Having opened a Ladbrokes account several months ago I now find it very easy to place my bets, quickly and sometimes rashly at the press of a button. But I was thinking today how much I miss that trip down to the Bookies where I would meet fellow gamblers and listen to their tales of woe and all about their successes and sometime get a good tip or two for future races. The counter staff all know you and sometimes I’ll sit and have a coffee and watch a couple of races and chat with the guys.
Its a real melting pot I know a lovely Italian guy down there whose always got a winner for you, one from Jamaica and the Chinese who go mad to back Frankie Dettori whatever he rides and are extremely lucky.
I’m serious considering going back to writing my bets out and popping into my local Bookies again, do you think this is sad or do you agree that Internet Betting is ruining the art of conversation and socialising…Jac xx
Thanks Sir Alan wise words indeed, and I totally agree with everything you say.
I do remember those days when you could apply your thoughts to the horses and if I do go down I only stay for a couple of races, that Portman Park rubbish drives me mad and also those numbers games its a miracle anyone has any money left.
But I do still enjoy meeting up with friends and discussing the days racing.
I will take a look at Paddy Power and thanks for a great answer.xx Jac
I will take a look at Paddy Power and thanks for a great answer.xx Jac
Sir Alan your answer was so good I am repeating myself..x
Samchuck…I did read all your answer and thank you, sadly most of it is true nowadays.

Mick…you’re on my wavelength, it’s about the characters. My bookies has changed beyond recognition now the smoking ban has been enforced. It smells of coffee and is more like Starbucks than Ladbrokes…xx
Also thanks Tommy2cans..Dublins a lovely city great atmosphere it must a riot in Ladbrokes on a Saturday when Aidan O’Brien’s horses are winning all the races.

loanshark…I know what you mean about that useless footy pullout, its the same when I go down to Tesco I feel like leaving all their extra packaging on the checkout instead of paying my council to lug it away..x

It seem by your answers that the Internet may have the upper hand, it will in the end anyway especially on cold winter days but interesting answers, thank you.x
des..I definitely had you down as an Internet punter. Good on you for supporting the poor old local bookie, I think my bets have been keeping them open the last few weeks!!! I agree that now they are non-smoking (also like myself) and have decent coffee machines you can stay a bit longer without needing to rush outside for a gasp of fresh air. Our Ladbrokes have fund raising days and competitions on a regular basis.
Like David H I think I will try to do both in future..thank you for your interesting answers..xx
Hi Baldy faced assassin…haven’t seen you on here for some time. Great to hear that Takeover Target is gearing up for another campaign in the UK, I remember you said that that The Baldy Faced Assassin would also be coming, I hope so he looks a great character from your Avator…as far as accounts over here are concerned I really don’t know..why don’t you set it up as a question someone is bound to have an answer for you. Have a great Christmas….Jac x

Jac,
I used to love popping down to my bookies before but now it’s a chore. The minute I go in there I’m confronted with cartoon racing from Portman park, lunchtime 49’s, virtual dog racing and any other amount of rubbish that’s going.
Do you remember those halcyon days when you went into a bookies and you could concentrate on the horses and form without having your ears constantly assaulted and bombarded by the inane ramblings of some nondescript geezer at Ladbrokes or Hills HQ telling us about the next exciting race from Millersfield?!
I’m even getting nostalgic now for the days of Extel cos the pictures were always better in those days ;-)
xx

Jac, open an account with Paddy Power instead, the early odds are always better than Ladbrokes and you get guaranteed price!

Edit:
Will those people who come on here and talk about the ‘evils of gambling’ ever go and do one? Most people on here are horse racing lovers. Why don’t you go to the beer, wines and spirits section and give out about the evils of alcohol cos that contributes a lot more to the breakdown of families than gambling ever does!

Edit:
David H : I remember them well. When I woz a youngfella and I used ta get some of the old men to put my bets on for me cos at the age of 12 the betting shop staff told me I woz too young to bet, I wanted to be a boards marker when I grew up! I fought it woz the best job you could get!
